EDITH PAULINE SCHWEDE

Edie's radiant smile and keen sense of humor come immediately to mind. She was one of the few adult friends of the family that we addressed by first name--a sign of her importance to the our family. Edie set an wonderful example as a person who never stopped learning and whose enthusiasm and positive attitude made wherever she was a better place.

Thinking of you, Drina, and remembering Edie with immense respect, warmth and love. I co-facilitated several workshops with her over the years at Summer Institute, and I am so grateful for the wisdom, insight, and humor she shared with us. Doing anything with Edie was just a whole lot of fun. May happy memories provide you comfort.

Edie was one of the sweetest souls I've ever had the privilege of meeting! I have very fond memories of this dear woman from through various shared activities at West Shore UU Church. Her delightful sense of humor and kindness toward others always brightened the room! May her spirit linger in our hearts.

Drina, I am so sorry for your loss. Edie was such a beautiful, loving soul! And I am so happy I had the pleasure to know her! I am thinking of you and your family and pray for your strength during this time.

Edie and the entire Schwede family are an integral part of my childhood memories. Edie could always make us laugh and was always another adult who loved us. I loved the singing gatherings, family picnics, scrabble games, trips to PA, and more. May you all find peace.
