Not sure what to say?

I still think of Edie, and remember her with a sense of regret that we had lost touch in the years following our work together at Richard Beckhard Associates. When I knew her she had yet to become the prominent and important change agent that would form her legacy. We shared many laughs and outrageous conspiracies. I do remember her leaving some clothing in the office closet. I drew a head and hands on easel paper
and attached it to the clothing, creating a person draped over the...

I worked with Edie in the 60s. A recent look at the history of NTL a day ago informed me that she and Charlie had both passed. I was stunned. Although we had lost touch, I never forgot her. I was 24, she was 27, when we worked for Richard Beckhard. We shared stories, gags, and viewpoints. She went on to an illustrious career in her field; i segued into publishing and wound up at The New York Times. I last saw her at the memorial for Richard Beckhard at Trinity Church in Manhattan a few...

Edie, I just shared news of your passing with a most humble and honorable friend who surprised me with his reply, below. I think he must have grasped the essence of who you are to me and to so many others. First, the Latin, then the English:

in freta dum fluvii current, dum montibus umbrae Lustrabunt covexa, polus dum sidera pascet semper honos nomenque tuum laudesque manebrunt

Coarse transation:
As long as the rivers shall run down to the sea, or shadows touch the mountain...

The memorial service for Charlie and Edie in Columbia was so fitting. When Becky and Kim spoke I saw Edie standing before us.

Unfortunately I just learned of the passing of two of my favorite people on this earth, Charlie & Edie Seashore. I last saw Edie seven years ago in Bethel where she razzed me about my whimping out during a blizzard that she said that I brought with me to Bethel. I was fortunate to have last hugged and talked with Charlie in Palo Alto in early January, days before his passing. As I see it now, our trip down memory lane was Edie-based and was a goodbye of sorts. Two great giants of mankind are...

I had the opportunity to work with Charie & Edie at NTL. My first experience in Bethel, ME was hard. I had never been to a place like this before but Charlie & Edie got me through it. After that, wanted to go every summer to work in the office. They will truely be missed.

When someone passes we say, "They have walked on"....Northern Cheyenne.

Edie and Charlie changed my life.

To Edie and Charlie's Family, Having had the good fortune to come to San Francisco for Charlie's Memorial, it was so wonderful to see Edie again. I was looking forward to visiting them both on my visits to the area. I had the chance to talk with her, hug her, told her I loved her, and told her I would be calling to check on her, knowing the loss of her beloved "Charles" was very difficult for her. It seems "right" that she had to leave to be with him, yet the hole in my heart is great! Edie...

Edie and Charlie provided me with many breakthrough moments. They are the most-often quoted of all of my professors and I was very saddened to hear of their loss. They will certainly be missed in life, but will live on in the work that we all continue to do because of our association with them.
