Edith Wooldridge Obituary

Edith K. Wooldridge

Edith Kidd Wooldridge, 101, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at The Carrington. She was the widow of Tempie L. Wooldridge.

Edith was born April 13, 1909, in Nelson County, a daughter of the late Ida Pugh and Thomas Kidd. She was a retired buyer from Leggett's Department Stores after 15 years of service. She was a member of Euclid Christian Church. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dora K. Allen, and her brother, Jessie G. Kidd.

Edith is survived by her son, T.L. Wooldridge Jr., of Midlothian; her daughter, Linda W. Hulbert, and husband, Matthew, of West Chester, Pa.; three grandchildren, Neal Wooldridge, of Richmond, Tempie H. Shearon and her husband, Michael, of Ann Arbor, Mich., and David Hulbert and his wife, Monica, of Indianapolis, Ind.; and three great-granddaughters, Rachel Shearon, Julia Shearon and Lousia Hulbert.

A funeral service will be conducted at noon Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel, with the Rev. Debbie Harmon and Rev. Ed

Parrish III officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Euclid Christian Church, 2220 Memorial Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24501, (434) 845-6889.
