Not sure what to say?

I worked with Mrs. Elliott for a period a day while part of the first 9th grade class at Laguna Jr Hi. I loved books and she was wonderful in her support of my reading and her true and honest interest in me and what I thought. One day she asked me if I thought the cover of a certain book was too risque`. Then she explained to me what risque` meant.

Dear Edmee, I can hear in my heart's mind, the cadence of your voice and your lady like southern accent, your word sense, and your sense of humor. I am glad that to have had my life uplifted by being in your circle of friends. Love All Ways,Fran Dukehart

Edmee Darlin....
You were the epitome of a strong, brilliant and humble person. I will treasure your sense of humor. I will remember the deep family bonds with Lisa, Linda and others of us that you made feel like family. I will smile when I think of "nursing you back to health" when you scared us with a high temperature. I will remember how you were a life long learner.
I loved coming to your home (first time I ever tasted tuna mixed with apple!) and looking at your collection...

I had the pleasure of meeting Edmee a few years back and realized that she was the librarian at Laguna Jr High when I attended there many, many years ago. What a wonderfully warm and interesting person. My thoughts and prayers go out to her daughters, extended family and friends, especially her oldest and dearest friend Melba. Lynn Neal

Edmee was an elegant, gracious lady and a role model for other Librarians and book people.
