Not sure what to say?

Dear Petit Family,Our sincere sympathy goes out to you in the loss of this kind and gentle Priest. Know that Aunt Mary would have been so proud to be acknowledged in your memories. God bless you all.

We will truly miss our beloved Fr. Ed here at St. Rita's. We will continue to rely on his powerful prayers and intercession and offer our prayers for the comfort of family and friends. We are thankful for the gift that he was and will continue to be to us.

Our sympathy and prayers to Fr. Ed's family. His sister Catherine was my stepmother and both held a very special place in my life. Fr. Ed's first parish was my parish as a child in Belvidere. Larry and I always enjoyed visiting with Fr. Ed. God bless and keep you, Fr. Ed.

We believe that we must have been one of his first marriages. August 24, 1946
With love and many happy memories.
Your cousin.

Our heart goes out to Tom & Joleen, and all the Petits. Fr. Ed was such a sweet, gentle man!

Remembering you as Pastor at St. Margaret's in Algonquin and then recently at NIU prior to the Mass for the Diocese's Anniversary! Thank you for the gentle kindness and faithfulness throughout your Priesthood.

Father Ed - you will be missed, every day here at Provena Fox Knoll. We are comforted by the thought that surely you saw the face of God the minute you passed away. May god bless your family in this time of sorrow.

To all the family may our Lord Jesus wipe away your sorrow at Ft. Petit's passing. However, he is now in heaven watching over each of you. May alll your memories comfort you in the coming days and may you smile knowing you knew such a kind and wonderful priest of God. Hugs and blessings. Mel and Sherry
