Being with Ed was always the highlight of our day. He made us smile and laugh, and we usually gained a new perspective on the world. When we asked him what made him tick, what kept him going, he replied with that unflinching directness and his matter-of-fact way that it was his pride in his marriage to Adele and in his children and grandchildren.
