I worked with Br. Ryan in his final years, and loved him dearly. His wry wit had me constantly laughing. I visited with him shortly before he died, and brought him a large rock candy stick. My last view of him was his sparkling blue eyes, grinning mischieviously, waving good-bye with the yellow candy stick. I will miss you Br. Wally!

Sometimes in life the best jobs you get are ones you don't get paid for. I Had the privilage of meeting brother Ryan as the Bellarimne football game film photographer from 1977 to 1983. Jim Zito was a linebacker coach and wanted me to help with the game films.

In my 66 years on this good earth I never met a finer man. The only equal I met was Smitty the Santa Clara University trainer of 50 Years. I feel honored to have known him.

May the Lord greet you with hugs and kisses. Your gentle nature and Irish wit welcomed all souls on a daily basis. I met you many years ago while attending a baseball ball game at SCU.With my father at hand, I listened intently as the two of you discussed the finer points of the wonderful game of baseball. .
