Edmund Sabowski Obituary
He was born Dec. 15, 1948, on Staten Island, N.Y., the son of Edmund and Gladys Sabowski.
Edmund graduated from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. He was employed throughout his life as store manager for various department stores on Long Island and in Connecticut. He enjoyed playing chess and computer war games. He was the life of the party and enjoyed hosting parties at home for different occasions. His best were the fourth of July barbecues with amazing fireworks displays enjoyed by so many family members and friends.
Edmund is survived by his wife MaryAnne; children, Erik Sabowski and his wife Trish of Baltimore, Md., Brian Sabowski of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Marisa Sabowski and Erik Baughan of Providence, R.I.; grandchildren, Theo and Emmi. He is also survived by nephews, Wayne Walters, Derek Walters and Steven Wilster. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Adele Jeter, Barbara Banker and Victoria Wilster. He was also predeceased by niece Sonja Wilster.
A calling hour will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 13 Lake Ave., Niantic.
