It´s with God´s help and the love & support of family and friends. hang in there , Janet White

Ed was a kind, loving, brilliant and funny man. He is my uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to know him. My heart and prayers are with Fairfax and his children.

God's peace and presence!

We met Ed and Fairfax in the late 1980s thru Newcomers Club. We shared love for the Lord, our families, Texas, world travel, and politics. Ed was such a fun conversationalist, asking lots of questions about your life with wit and charm. We kept in touch after we returned to Houston for a dozen years, and renewed many good times in our retirement back to Burmingham. We sponsored them into Cheramis Dance Club at Vestavia CC in the 1990s and Ed helped James join a retired military officer group....

Sending sympathy to the Segner family for the loss of Ed. He was a long time friend. I have many good memories of our times together in Tuscaloosa. May he rest in peace.

Our deepest sympathies go out to Fairfax and her family over the passing of Ed. We always enjoyed seeing them in church at RUMC and will sorely miss Ed´s wit and charm. May GOD bless Ed, Fairfax and their family Jeff & Nancy Forman Hoover, Alabama

Fairfax I am so sorry you lost Ed. What a great guy. So kind and friendly. So glad you had so many years with him. Prayers for you and your family.

Ed got me involved in teaching a class to students at UAB one summer back in the '90's via closed circuit TV. State of the art then. He was a very nice man.
