Not sure what to say?

My deepest and sincerest condolences on the loss of Mr Edmundo Vargas.
I was a student in his English class at John F Kennedy HS; and proud to say that he was my favorite teacher. He was an excellent teacher and truly admired his passion for teaching. Not only did he teach English, he taught us about life. He positively inspired, motivated and helped us direct our steps and future, to be the best that we could be. I truly love that about him because I grew up in a poor family and our...

My condolences to the Vargas family. I briefly knew Mr. Vargas, as he was a Latin teacher, and I was interested in Latin and Greek. We spoke briefly through his friend, David Ochoa. He will be missed, as his gentle prodding helped hundreds of students become scholars.

The Edmundo, my late husband Frank and I knew, was a dedicated defender of the Catholic faith. He had a great love and knowledge of the Catholic Church. During a time of trial he led many to ask questions and hold fast to the truth. May he rest in the peace of Jesus and Mary.

Edmundo was a faithful, prayerful man. We enjoyed many conversations with him, especially how knowledgeable he was about Catholicism and for his love of languages. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Vargas was one of the most, if not the most influential teacher in my life. He was my English and Latin teacher at John F. Kennedy HS. The love of literature, history and philosophy I owe to him. He loved teaching and he loved his books and his religion. I doubt that we will ever know someone as dedicated to his beliefs as Mr. Vargas. Many years have passed since I saw him. But, his memory and impact he had on my mind and intellect will live with me until I leave this earth. May you...

His persistence in what he believed in was an inspiration to all those who knew him.

My condolences to the family. He knew his faith well
