Send FlowersEdna Marie (Duby) Ackerman, 84, a longtime resident of Ludlow, Massachusetts, a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Ludlow, died at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, on Thursday, March 1, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, 2001, 4-8 p.m., at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main Street, Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church, 191 Hubbard Street, Ludlow. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery, Chicopee, Massachusetts. Arrangements entrusted to Ratell Funeral Home, Indian Orchard, Massachusetts.

Edna was a woman if great faith. Although small in stature she was a giant in accepting her cross with patience and love. Never complaining, her smile was as sweet and warm as the sun. She will be greatly missed by her Pastor and Church Community. May she rest in peace with our loving and gracious God.
