Although it has been almost 50 years since I saw your mother I remember her fondly. The greatness of her life is exemplified by the wonderful family she left behind. Please accept our sincerest sympathy in this great time of loss. God bless you all.

Edna was a true Southern lady - and a true CHRISRIAN Southern lady. My connections with her family were with all her children, and I really looked up to her and respected her. Not only was it my privilege to hear her sing, but there were quite a few times when I was privileged to accompany Edna. Her passing is Tarboro's loss. Sincerely, Terry Coley

Dear Family,
I have been in many services in First Baptist Church of Tarboro where Mrs. Edna sang, both solos and as a part of a wonderful choir. I always felt so blessed and uplifted by her beautiful voice and the hymns she sang. My favorite was "The Woman at the Well" and always was moved to tears when she sang it.
Just wanted to let you know I loved your Mother and I am thinking of you all during this sad time.
Sincerely yours,
Iris Elliott

It was my privilege to sing in the choir with her for many years. If I close my eyes and listen, I can hear her singing "Jesus Loves Me" and "The Longer I Serve Him, the Sweeter He Grows." She lived the joy of the victorious life in Christ, and while she will leave a huge void in your lives, she is surely among many...

She was my dear first cousin. We didn't see each other very often, but she was always in my heart.
She will always be remembered.
