My mother, Virginia Frances Maherg worked with Mrs. Bailey at Kresses in Mobile, AL. Years ago. Mark Bailey went to private school with my sister Marlene Maherg and myself. Marlene died at 10 years old in 1970. Mama and Mrs. Bailey were friends. Mrs. Bailey called mama's house a few months after mama died and Mrs. Bailey was so nice and sad at the same time. Good memories. Sweet family. I'm praying for the family.

I lived across the street from Edna. After her husband Howard died, she called on me many times to help with things. She would always let me pick oranges and cumquats from her back yard. She was a swell neighbor and a lovely lady.
