We are sorry to hear of your loss. Edna was a wonderful person. Edna not only lived in Rochester Terrace, she was a part of Rochester Terrace. She has been missed ever since she left. Edna had many friends and neighbors who cared and loved her very much there. We still call it “Edna’s Rock” down by the mail house. Everyone who knew Edna, knows that this world just lost a one of kind character. I knew Edna for more than 20 years, and although we were not related, Edna was family to me. I’ve known very few people in my life that have had such a great impact, but Edna was one of them. I will always remember her as a very independent, kind, and generous person. When people say “she’d give you the shirt right off of her back”, they could very easily be talking about Edna, and she would do this expecting...

Edna was very well thought of by her many friends on the Community Action shopping bus which she rode for many years. She made us all laugh with her dry wit and casual observations of our strange little planet. She was very proud of her husband, John Berrio and the famous poem he wrote and donated to the world:"Dead At 17."
