Mrs. Booker, I am so saddened to learn of your passing. You were the most amazing teacher!! You and the other teachers at Tom C. Gooch Elementary left an indelible mark on my life. I wanted to grow up to be like you, Miss Farmer, Mrs. Pruitt, and Mrs. Waring. You were all stars!! I became a teacher because of you! I pray that you received flowers while you lived. Rest in peace. Mrs. Booker, I am simply heart-broken as I just found this photo of you from the 70's and immediately looked you up. You were my 4th and 5th grade teacher in TAG Program. DISD really knew what they were doing when they hired you to teach that program. You were amazing, inspiring, challenging and simply my favorite teacher in my whole educational career.
