Not sure what to say?

Isaiah 26: 3, 4. Miss Edna called just about every night to see how thing were going at Sts Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, where I am a 3rd shift telephone operator. I enjoyed her little chats about this and that, including South Carolina, where my Wife and I lived for awhile some years ago. She leaves a long and valuable legacy; and our prayers are with you.

Each and every night Iwould get my " Any excitement?" call here at the hospital. Until the very end she wanted to be and was a stalwart fixture at Sts Mary and Elizabeth.
I definately have a large void in my time here at work knowing that our "monitor" Edna will no longer be calling to see how things are going.
God Bless you Edna and thanks for touching my life

Mrs. Jansen taught me things in elem. school that I still remember - AND use! I had her for the 4th & 5th grades, 1956-58. If all my teachers had taught me as much as her, no telling where I'd be now. She was remarkable!

How many thousands of her students do I speak for when I say she was such an outstanding teacher? She was my kindergarten teacher at Shawnee 1952-53 school year? My wife asked me how I could remember my kindergarten teacher so vividly after these 50+ years. Easy, I replied! And of course Buzz and I attended Shawnee Schools together for all those years. Our thoughts and prayers definitely with all of you.

If I had to list those who were most influential in my life, I would put Mrs. Jansen at the top. As my fifth grade teacher, more than anything she instilled in me the joy of reading, from the book reading competition she held in our class (I won) to the field trips to the Portland library. As a member of the youth choir at Shawnee Pres, Mrs. Jansen taught me an appreciation of music. And she was a good neighbor, just down the alley from my Longworth home, her backyard I remember was filled...

She was a truly an extraordinary woman. We enjoyed the little time we spent with her and are sorry for your loss.

All of the holidays that our family has celebrated would be what I remember most. Aunt Edna Margaret was such a giving person. She wanted to share her time with you and you knew she cared about you. We also had a fun filled vacation to Hawaii together. Her family meant everything to her. Her daughters and son were her most cherished things. And I loved to ask her about them to see her eyes light up to talk about them. What a wonderful lady!! I love you Aunt Edna Margaret.
