Not sure what to say?

Barry and Tim , Thanks so much for the copy of a great teachers obit. /as a fellowteacher and friend, I was most happy when loking over my new classlist for 6th grade at Anza, to see the names of students who had been in Edna's fifth grade. I knew there was nothing feft for me to teach them, that I ccould go to those who had not been so fortunate . She was so great as a teacher, mother, and friend. I learned so much from her.

I did not have Mrs. Lafferty for a teacher but my brother did for 5th grade at Sepulveda in Del Air. I remember going to an open house and seeing the White house and Capital building's made out sugar cubes. Mrs. Lafferty's class room had such interesting projects always going on. Even though she was not my teacher I remember her very well.

My deepest condolences to the Lafferty Family. I was a student at Anza and was a student of Mrs.Lafferty's. She was a wonderful teacher, tough at times but it was only when it was needed. She will be missed by so many people who's lives she had touched.

Praying for your family and our sincerest condolences. She will be greatly missed.

My parents moved to the Wiseburn School District in 1959. I was going into 4th grade at Jose Sepulveda. I remember my mom walking me to school the first day to meet my new teacher, Mrs. Lafferty. I remember being 9 years old and being a little scared going to a new school, meeting a new teacher and not knowing any other children. Mrs. Lafferty made me feel so welcome and eased my fears, through her I met my new best friend. Mrs. Lafferty was the warmest most caring teacher I ever had, I...

Dear Barry and Family, We wish you peace and comfort during this time. I may have followed the brighter siblings, but I certainly learned one thing in 5th grade from your mom. "Thou shall win the paper drive and Thou shall have the best Luau class party ever. Oh and keep a clean desk. Great times were had by all for many years. Sincerely, Donna Tucker (Dye Family)

My thoughts and prayers to the Lafferty family and to all of us that Mrs. Lafferty taught and believed in. She was my strictest teacher and my favorite teacher too. Thank you Mrs. Lafferty.

It just so happens I was browsing the Daily Breeze online yesterday ... no particular reason, because I have lived in Kentucky for 20 years. I learned of Mrs. Lafferty's passing and wanted to express my sympathy to you, her family and friends. There are only a handful of teachers that we REALLY remember and she is one of them! 5th grade in the late 60's would have never been the same without her! I am sorry for your loss.

Tim, Donna & Barry,

John Crotty just called me this evening to inform me of your Mother's pasing. Edna touched the lives of so very many. She will always be remembered as you share the stories and the memories of how she lived her life and how very much she meant.

Sincerely,
