Edna L. Lockwood

Edna was an original in every way, and I will treasure her friendship always. Her life was so rich and full, and she lived it so well, overcoming heartbreak and great loss with grace, humor, and a no-nonsense kindness, which gave her a true wisdom, an understanding of the human spirit, how it endures in all adversity, which she celebrated in her work. I think I thought she would live forever, and I know her spirit will. I know she is writing very well indeed in heaven . . .

Edna was a wonderful woman and a very good writer. It was a pleasure to know her. She will be missed.

I graduated with Ms. Lockwood in 1965 and remember her fondly. An inspiration to me defining what all woman can achieve. I had a family, an education, and a career because of women such as Ms.Lockwood. My deepest sympathy to her family.

So sorry to hear about Edna. She was such a wonderful lady. Going to miss her.

She showed a lot of love to me and helped me out when I was just starting out in life. She was a terrific inspiration and had a lot of love and a lot of grit. I will miss her.
