Edna Mueller

Edna Jenny Mueller, age 91 of Stanton, beloved sister, aunt and friend, died Wednesday December 9, 2009 at Faith Regional Health Services Norfolk, NE. She was born on November 29, 1918 at Norfolk, NE the daughter of Frederick and Ida (Klentz) Mueller. She graduated from Oakdale High School at Oakdale, NE in 1938. Edna worked at French's Photo Shop for 4 years and at First Nebraska Bank in Stanton for 25 years. Her greatest achievement was the care she gave for her father (Papa) for 31 years and the love extended to Edna's family and friends. She was a very giving sister, aunt, neighbor and friend. She loved antiques, sports, card playing, knitting, gardening, coffee and tea with friends. Edna was a 60+ year member of New England Congregational United Church of Christ in Stanton, 65 year member of Stanton V.F.W. Auxiliary and a member Stanton American Legion Auxiliary. A great patriotic gesture for her country she raised and lowered her flag daily. Edna is survived by her brother Dick Mueller of Burlington, WA; 2 Allie Wegner of Grand Junction, CO; Chuckie Gray of Mapleton, UT; Sister-In-Law Irma Mueller of Clinton, IA; many nieces, nephews and friends. Edna is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Memorials directed to Stanton Historical Society and New England Congregational Church in Stanton.
