Adobe Creek Funeral Home - Petaluma Obituary

 Edna passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, at the age of 95,

after a long and beautiful life. Born in Olema, California, Edna was

the youngest daughter of Italian Immigrants Joe and Rose Dellepere.

A graduate of Tomales High School, Edna remained rooted in the

Olema and Point Reyes Station area for much of her life.

In 1948, she married the love of her life, Geno Petroni. Together

they built a life filled with hard work, joy, and deep devotion to family.

Edna worked with several local businesses including the Grandi Company,

Palace Food Market, Cheda's Deli, and West Marin Pharmacy.

In 1995, Edna and Geno moved to Sebastopol to be closer to their

sons and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Geno;

her parents; her siblings and in-laws - Teresa (Stanley) Koschetz, Eda

(Ambrose) Gondola, and John (Dorothy) Dellepere.

Edna is survived by her sons Ron (Lolly) Petroni and John (Erika) Petroni;

her cherished granddaughters Gina (Jeff), Jessica (Jonah), Hannah (Zach),

and Natalie (Scott); her adored great-grandchildren Logan, Milana,

Sophie, Isabelle, and Gino; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Edna will be remembered for her sharp wit and sassy Italian spirit.

She brought joy to everyone she met with her storytelling, her passion

for bingo, the SF Giants; and her legendary spaghetti gravy.

Above all, family was the center of her world.

Not sure what to say?

Edna was a cherished neighbor. Every single conversation I had with her over the past 23 years was fun. Even today, I thought of a little tidbit of my life that I knew would delight her. She would laugh with me. What a wonderful neighbor, and an inspiration for what a delightful neighbor can add to a stroll in the hood.

Dear Ron and John I was so sorry to hear of your mom´s passing. She always had a smile on her face and a joke or story to share. As a little kid I would remember riding bikes with friends through downtown Pt Reyes she would be sweeping the sidewalk in front of the Palace Market early in the morning and she would let you know she was watching you and that you better behave or else. I can hear her gum cracking at the football games because she would get so wound up watching the boys play,...

Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.

To a dear friend who brought so much joy. laughter ,kindness , and love. We worked together , played Bingo and we had certainly mischievous fun times together too. ..I am so grateful Edna that we were part of your journey in your life And Gino’s, you both were like family to us. God Bless you Edna ,thank you for the memories. Jackie Campigli ❤

I was talking to my cousin, Tony Maestri, when I first heard Edna wasn't doing well. Then a couple days later he let me know she had passed. I hadn't seen Edna in years, since I moved to Reno, Nevada. We reconnected again because of the deaths of my Aunt, Carolyn Maestri and my mother, Genevieve Johnson. The first time I saw her in 20 years was at their services. It was like we hadn't missed a day. I have known Edna and Geno as long as I have been alive. They were so much fun to visit with,...

I have had the great pleasure of growing up with Edna and gino, they were a huge part of my life. Edna was a dear friend to my Granny who was very dear to me. I got to listen to them chat and enjoy life together. it would be hard to find a person who loved family and life the way she did and I got to benefit from all she had to offer. she will be missed very much. I know she is at peace with many loved ones right now. thank you for blessing me with all you had to offer. I love you.
