Not sure what to say?

This was a great couple who came to our school and they gave a lot to the students and town while spending the rest of their days with us. They will always be remembered by us all.

One of my very favorite teachers in Deadwood High School. I graduated in 1953.

Edna Robinson was a force in my life in high school days in Deadwood, and I enjoyed her as teacher and librarian. Freddy and I were classmates and close friends, and I will always treasure the dinner she and Harry Robinson gave the football team in 1962 when we beat Lead for the first time in quite a few years. I appreciated being an overnight guest in their home as well. Edna touched many of us in lovely ways at Deadwood High School.

There are so many memories about Coach and Mrs. Ferguson and when my husband, Gene, was alive, we used to talk about both of them often and what they meant to us as we were growing up in in the environment of Deadwood Public School. Mrs. Ferguson was our school Librarian and I spent many hours there helping shelve books and learning backwards and forwards the Dewey Decimal System. She was also my "coach" when I entered the High School Poetry Contest. She...

Edna was a special lady, all who were students or friends will miss her greatly but remember her with admiration and respect. I was fortunate to have both Edna and Coach Ferguson as teachers and mentors when in high school. I often find myself quoting Coach Ferguson on things he said in the classroom. Edna was my Declam,Debate,etc.instructor/teacher. Learned so much from her.Last spoke with her on the phone almost 2 years ago when she was beginning a residency in Hot Springs and hoping to...

My deepest sympathy goes to the family of Edna Ferguson Robinson. Edna and Stewart were responsible for my success as a teacher of 40 years. I too graduated from the University of Arkansas, Monticello many years ago thanks to Edna and Stewart's help. I shall never forget Edna and "Freddie."
Rest in peace Edna!

50 Year DHS54 Reunion in 2004

Both my wife Sherill and I will miss Edna. She was special to us all these years since DHS graduation. I have talked to her recently and we shared laughs. I have published an article about her death in my dhsclassmates web site http://dhsclassmates.blogspot.com/.

She was a grand lady and an excellent teacher.

I miss Edna's wonderful smile and our many conversations over the years. She was a very special woman in my life whom I dearly loved. Thank you Edna for all of the teaching advice and friendship over the years. You will always hold a special place in my heart, right next to Stewart.

To the family of Edna, Thank you for putting her picture in the paper. I often wondered what happened to the fabulous fun lady who use to show up at my flower shop first thing in the morning when we had the farmers market. She was so cute and use to say the funniest things about what she was up to. I really missed her when she quit showing up and often wondered what happened to her. What a neat person she was.
