Edna F. Shaver

SHAVER, Edna F. (Clark) - Of Flint, age 94, peacefully died Saturday, March 10, 2007 at her home surrounded by her family. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM, Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, G-3139 Hogarth Avenue in Flint. Father Robert F. Copeland officiating. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation 11AM-2PM and 4-8PM Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Edna was born on November 7, 1912 in St. Patrick, Missouri, the daughter of the late William and Catherine Clark. In June of 1946, Edna married Chester L. Shaver and he preceded her in death in May 1970. She was a founding member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Edna's strong faith and dedication to family values served as an example for her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her five children, Martha J. of Flint, Catherine Yambrick and husband Henry Tannenbaum of Flint, Mary J. of Flint, Gerald D. of Davison and Karen I. Jamison of Flint and husband Michael; six grandchildren, Amy Yambrick, Aaron Girard, Christa Klingensmith, Joseph Yambrick, Jeremy Shaver and Jeffrey Shaver; six great-grandchildren, Tanner, Brittany, Kayla, Logan, Drew and Teagan; brother, Charles W. (Betty) Clark of Lansing, MI; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Chester; parents and 4 brothers, Bernard, Basil, Lawrence and James Cecil Clark.
