Edna M. Soderlund

Edna M. Soderlund, 79, of Cotton, formerly of Duluth died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Viewcrest Health Center, Duluth. Edna was born July 16, 1928 in Cotton to William and Christine Peterson. She was a graduate of Cotton High School. She married David Soderlund on March 6, 1948. Edna and David moved to Duluth and she worked for 10 years at Duluth Public Schools as a cook and retired as a supervisor. After retiring, Edna and David returned to Cotton. Edna was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, Duluth, Cotton Senior Club and the Cotton Pickin Losers. She also loved to bake and cook. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Christine and her husband, David in 1999. Edna is survived by her children, Janet (Ed) Anderson of Hibbing, Minn., Judy (Bruce) Wendlandt of Duluth, Wally (Cherrie) Soderlund, Wayne (Robin) Soderlund both of Cotton, Joyce (Bill) Ellis and Ward (Crystal) Soderlund both of Duluth; sisters, Florence Peterson, Mary (Ray) Peterson and Helen Johnson all of Duluth; sister-in-law, Lillian Peterson of Brainerd, Minn.; grandchildren, Daniel (Heather) and Jodi Anderson, David, Erik (Kristin), Jason (Sarah) and Kristen Wendlandt, Krista and Luke Soderlund, Lindsay, Kelly, Jacob and Matthew Ellis, Isaac, Aaron and Caitlyn Soderlund and six great grandchildren. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Heritage Baptist Church, 2015 Rice Lake Road, Duluth. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. services Friday in Cotton Community Church, Cotton, Minn.
