Funeral service for Edna Earl Wallace, 83, of Decatur will be Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur with the Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Wallace, who died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, at Summerford Nursing Home in Falkville, was born Aug. 26, 1926, in Centre to Earl B. and Venia Estes Payne. She was a homemaker and a businesswoman. She owned Paw-Paw's Children's Shop for 15 years. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Wallace; and two brothers, Harold and Frank Payne.
Survivors include two sons, John T. Wallace Jr. (Barbara) of Denver, Colo., and William P. Wallace (Lynda) of Decatur; two daughters, Sandra Putnam (Mike) of Decatur and Jeannie Earl Wallace of Mont-gomery; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Chapel Fund.
