O'Neill Funeral Home - Cumberland Obituary

Edna J. Warnock, 76, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center of RI. She was the wife of the late Edward “Ted” Warnock. Born in Chelsea, MA, she was the daughter of the late John J. Lynch, and Gladys D. (Hanson) Cloud.

She was a devoted mother, survived by 3 children, Edward Warnock Jr (Brenda), John Warnock (Chris), and Dawn Warnock. She was the proud grandmother to Chad and Cody Warnock, and her newest love, Krysta James Warnock. She was the mother of the late James Warnock and sister of the late William and John Lynch.

Her earliest career dream was in nursing school at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Boston, but later retired from the Operations Division of Citizens Bank RI. Some of her fondest memories were spent with her family on the beaches of Rhode Island, Montauk, and Martha’s Vineyard. Edna enjoyed playing Bingo and Yahtzee, and was a self-proclaimed “super-fan” of the New England Patriots. She was even once a celebrated bowler. Her sharp wit and sense of humor made her the life-of-the-party. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Sunday, December 11, 2016 between 2-4 pm at the Pawtucket Country Club. 900 Armistice Blvd. Pawtucket, RI 02861

Not sure what to say?

A sad time for the Warnock family and my sincerest condolonces. I was their mailman on Mendon Ave. for many years and always enjoyed interactions with all the family members. A special family.

Edna was a fiesty character and wonderful mom she will be missed and left an Impression on many.

This is sad news as Edna played a huge roll in raising many more children than just her own. The Warnock home was the place to be and Edna and Ted were faithful go to adults for many of us. Edna taught me that moms can have completely inappropriate senses of humor yet be dedicated, and fun-loving at the same time. Reminds me of myself as a mom. Thank you Edna for being a big part of our Mendon Avenue tribe. I love you.. Kristine

Edna was the greatest person you would ever want to meet, strongest person we have known to fight this ugly disease! Right up to the end she could still bring a smile to your face. She has always been in our family and we all enjoyed many wonderful years with her and her family. She has now gone on to a better place to be with Ted, James and other members of her family but she will always be remembered, RIP Edna

I worked with Edna, years ago. She had a beautiful soul with a great sense of humor, always making me laugh. I enjoyed being in her company. My thoughts and prayers to her family. May God bless her.

My second Mom, Edna, known as Grammy Edna to my son. You will be forever missed and the memories created will be lasting treasures for sure. Fly high with the Angels. Love you, Terrie, Mike and Caleb
My thoughts and prayers are with your family now and always.
