Eduardo Perez Hernandez, affectionately known as "El Michoacano," passed away on May 29, 2025, in Sylmar, California, at the age of 75.
Born on July 30, 1949, in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, Eduardo carried with him the vibrant spirit of his birthplace throughout his life. His journey from Morelia to the United States was marked by resilience and a deep devotion to family-a legacy that continues through those who knew and loved him.
Eduardo was a man of many passions. A gifted singer, he found immense joy in sharing his voice at family gatherings, where his songs became cherished memories for all who listened. Music was not just a pastime for him-it was an expression of love and connection that resonated deeply with those around him.
He also had a fondness for the thrill of casinos and spent many happy hours enjoying their lively atmosphere. Equally at home in quieter moments, Eduardo took great pride in caring for his horses. These simple pleasures reflected his appreciation for both excitement and tranquility.
Family was at the heart of Eduardo's world. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, bringing joy and laughter into their lives with his warm presence and spirited personality. His love for them was unwavering and evident in everything he did. Eduardo's devotion extended beyond his immediate family; he was always eager to support his extended relatives in their pursuit of a better life.
Eduardo is lovingly remembered by his children: Jaime Perez, Ana Perez, Herminia Perez, Eric Perez, Yadira Perez, and Rogelio Perez. He also leaves behind his siblings: brothers Everardo Perez and Eleazar Perez, and sister Elvira Perez-Negrete.
