I remember Ed. He was very kind. My heart felt sympathy to you. He watches over you in God's presence.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Altdorfer,

You may remember me from the years when Ed and I had a band and we made much noise in your lovely home on Pine road.

I have just learned of Ed's passing and I am doubly saddened that the visitations are over.

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. Even though it has been many years since I've seen Ed, I have nothing but warm memories of him and especially that period when we made music together.

Dear Jan, Pat and young Patrick,

Our neighbors who bought your house just came over at 8:40 tonight to tell us the shocking news about Eddie. (We don't take a newspaper.) I feel so terribly sad and know our girls will, too. We remember all their growing up years with Eddie next door; fun games with water balloons, funny notes exchanged, challenging one another to "wars" and various silly contests.

It's hard to believe Eddie would have completed his 40th year on August...

I was so sorry to read of the loss of your son, Eddie. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

We cherish our memories of Ed's sweet spirit and also some artistic tye-dye shirts he made for us as a wedding present with beautiful sunsets and waterfalls he painted. Our prayers for God's comfort with you as Ed finds peace in the heavenly waterfalls and sunset.
