Mr. Edward Paul Ayers

Edward Paul Ayers, a resident of Fulton, MD, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by loving family, at the age of 67. Paul was born in Radford, VA on February 3, 1946 and was the son of the late Ernest Pressley Ayers and Mamie Etta (Largen) Ayers. Paul proudly served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967. He ran his own home improvement business installing replacement windows and doors for over forty years. He loved NASCAR, the Washington Redskins, working his garden, go-karting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, wonderful father and grandfather and a beloved friend to many. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Mary Ayers of Fulton, MD; their daughter, Tracie Lynn Thomas and her husband Eric Thomas of Woodbine, MD, their son, Wayne Edward Ayers and his wife April of Fulton, MD, two grandchildren, Amanda Heflin and her husband Danny Heflin of Fulton, MD, and Casey Knopp of Woodbine, MD, and a brother Douglas Ayers of Beltsville, MD. Friends and family are invited to join a casual "Celebration of Life" gathering to be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2pm, 12119 Scaggsville Road, Fulton, Maryland 20759.
