I knew "Doug" from BoJangle's conversations and will miss him. He was a very kind and sensitive man. Deepest sympathy to his family.

Mr. Ballance will surely be missed here at Southern Bank. He was such a nice man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Ballance. He was a kind and thoughtful man, just like Mr. Sidney. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Lora Byrd - Hyde County

I haven't seen Mr. Ballance in a long time, but when I worked at an attorney's office, he serviced our old typewriters - and he was the nicest man. I enjoyed talking to him - he always brought a smile to my face. Keep him in your heart and his memory will awaken your spirit. Your family is in my prayers

Ed will be greatly missed..Especially around bojangle's. he was there every day or at nite.We use to see him there every time we came home to visit.he was a good man.he will be missed.

Mr. Ed, as well as Mr. Sid, were two of the nicest gentlemen I've ever met. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Elaine Vann, Washington County Register of Deeds, Plymouth, NC
