Ed told me that when he was in kindegarten, he didn't like the choices for lunch. So he walked to the drug store and charged an ice-cream cone. Then he walked home.

He said that he had many stuffed animals that were very dear to him. He put air holes in a suitcase so that he could take the stuffed animals with him on vacation.

Ed played the electric guitar in the band "The Homestead Act" when he was in high school. He was a very talented musician.
