Edward C. "Ed" Beardsley, 71, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away December 4, 2015.

Ed was born in Findlay, Ohio to the late Franklin William and Edna (Hile) Beardsley. He married Patricia Carol (George) Beardsley on April 27, 1968, in Findlay, Ohio.

Ed was a graduate of Findlay High School. After graduation, Ed went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Ed was a lifelong member of the Findlay Ohio VFW Post #5645 and the Bowling Green VFW Post #1148. Ed had many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed bowling, watching the OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, however most of all Ed enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie fishing.

Along with his wife, Carol, Ed is survived by his sons, Edward (Sue) Beardsley Jr., of Sandusky, Ohio, John (Angela) Beardsley, of Bowling Green, Ohio; grandchildren, Jay and Logan Beardsley; a sister, Sandy (Larry) Slings, of Hudsonville, Michigan and a brother, Don Beardsley, of Wyoming, Michigan.

A Memorial Gathering to Celebrate Ed's Life will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 10 a.m. until the time of his Military Honors Service at 12 noon in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory Remembrance Chapel, 1460 W. Wooster Street, P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Tele: 419-352-2171.

Memorial Contributions in Ed's honor may be gifted to the charity of the donor's choice.
