The visits to Uncle Monroe & Aunt Isabelle were always the highlight of our family's "out west" trips. Every 5 years or so, Mom (Ruby), Dad (Jack), my brother (Dairen) & I would spend several weeks visiting family in Oregon & Washington. Uncle Monroe taught me to ride a horse, though I always had the impression he did not like to ride himself.
