Not sure what to say?

so sorry and surprised to read of Ed's death. sadie gwin you are ever in our thoughts. such good friends. Ed helped us so much when our children had so many ailments. one day in Eagle Lake carolyn said"i have to get back to my doctor." she was about 3 years old and she meant Ed. our best to you and your family. Lue and Newton McDonald

It was a joy and a pleasure to have known and to have worked with your Dr. "B" for so many years. I will miss his joy in telling a good joke, his pleasure surrounding food be it in the kitchen discussing what to fix for our lunch, savoring a new dish, trying a new recipe or planning the week's menus. Helping him with his published book "Wanted" & the family cookbook "Purloined Recipes" as well as the one we didn't publish about the Texas Timeline was a time with him I will always treasure....

To Dr. Blackburn's family,

I want to express my sincere condolences to your family. I was a former patient of Dr. Blackburn many many years ago and I remember him distinctly as a fine man and doctor. I appreciated his care and concern for me as a young child and have never forgotten that. May he rest in peace and your family have peace knowing that he was truly respected. He too had a great sense of humor that put you at ease.

Sadie Gwin, Ed, and Bobby: What a joy it was to know Dr. B and a joy it is to know all of you. All of you have enriched Sidney's and my life by the love and many kindnesses the Blackburn family have shown the Browns. Wish we could have been with you to say goodbye to the good Doctor. With love to all of you,

Dear Sadi Gwin, Ed, and Bobby

Deb and I have been shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of both Ed and Cathy in so short a time. We cannot imagine the sense of loss that all of you must have.

Ed was just a year younger than my dad, who always spoke of him as his favorite first cousin. Sadie Gwin, when my dad passed almost fifty years ago you and Ed provided much of the glue that held my mom and I together. You were there for us and I wish that I could be there...

Dear Bobby, Cynthia, and family,
Please know how saddened I am by your loss. I'm out-of-town and unable to be with you in person, but am sending my love, thoughts, and prayers to you and each member of your precious family.

Dear Ed and Bobby,
I am sad to learn about your dad's passing and regret I cannot be there to pay my respects. I am so sorry for your loss and know you are hurting. Both of you, Sadie Gwin and your families are in my prayers.

Dear Sadie Gwin, Ed, and Bobby - I will always remember the kind, yet straightforward, manner used by Dr. B. while attending to my ENT health. It was a treat also having him as a fun and interesting parent of my friends Cathy, Ed,and Bobby. I hope you find comfort with the end of his long struggle, and peace knowing that he and Cathy are now together again.

Dear Aunt Sadie Gwin, Ed, Bobby and so many other loved ones,

'Words simply cannot convey the depth of my sympathy for all of you. I hold you in my prayers, bathed in the Light, and trust you will be soothed by this. Travel is simply not possible for me at this time but I look forward to a visit in the near future. Please know that I am with you in spirit as this lovely man is laid to rest.
