Landscape Archtecture has lost a legend. As my professor at MSU and mentor while working at the Crosby Arboretum, Ed opened my eyes to the environmental world and encouraged me to follow my professional desires and goals. Now in China, his inspiration can be seen in my many works. Thank you Ed, you were a great mentor.

The Landscape Architecture world has lost a legend. Ed Blake is one of the smartest, forward thinking professionals I have ever met. As my professor of Landscape classes at MS State, he challenged me and stretched me more than I knew possible. Everything he did...taught, directed, designed, lived... he did with passion. Thank you, Ed, for pushing us past our comfort zones. Blake Family, you are in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for sharing Ed with us!

Ned was my landscape architecture professor at Mississippi State. In the years since college I have been privileged to enjoy numerous lectures he presented and of course the Crosby Arboretum tours he gave. We will miss you...

Ed was invariably an inspiration, when we worked together, during his tenure at the Crosby Arboretum. His gentle and kind nature and his wisdom will always be cherished memories. He will be missed.
