I just found out about Ed passing. Praying for comfort for Doris, his family, and the multitude of friends.

We have camped near Ed and Doris many times at the Evart Dulcimer Funfest. We really missed them this year.

I first met Ed when I hired in to Amway in the Maintenance Department in Feb. 1979. He was always a hard worker and I enjoyed working with him and visiting with him after hours on occasion. I actually went to school at Union at the same time two of his kids went there. I was in the class of 1967 and they were behind me a year or two. My son also went to school at Creston with one of Ed's kids. After Ed retired I saw him a few times but lost track of him over the years. I always marveled at...

I first heard about Ed over 35 years ago when I started working at Amway. Ed was fundamental in setting up the factory layout back then and was a very valued employee at Amway. Ed always ushered the employees in and out of the Christmas programs each year with his magnificent accordion playing. Ed retired not long after I started, so I never saw him for many years after until I became involved with the people in the Grand Rapids Accordion Ensemble. There I "re-met" Ed and his fantastic...

He was a talented, gentle kind soul. He will be missed by many. It was a pleasure to be a member with him in the Accordion Ensemble. His accordion playing was beautiful.
