Not sure what to say?

Sweet memories of times spent with your family, celebrating life together over meals, outdoors on swings over the ravine, and in worship together at CRC. Ed made a difference, his life encouraged our faith and drew us closer to Jesus. Thinking of you all on this anniversary.

Marilyn and family, praying for y’all as we come to the sad anniversary of Ed’s passing. Grateful for his faith and for yours, knowing that you will be reunited around our Lord’s brilliant heavenly throne! And grateful for the grace God gives us to journey through the valleys of this world.

Mary,

God brought your family to mind today and I just decided to google search Brouwers formerly of Stevensville and there was this obit. I can hardly get my arms around that news and my heart is breaking for you and your family. You had a marriage and relationship that really encouraged and blessed Terry and I. I regret that we lost touch. Know my prayers are with you and I know God is faithful to meet you in your need.

Dear Brouwer Family,

I just learn of Ed's death. Ed, Ellen (my wife) and I knew each other many years ago (when we were in our early 20s). We once took a trip to Florida together. Ed got sea sick when we went scuba driving (he was so confident he wouldn't). I remember Ed and I talking about him joining the USAF. Ellen has a story about flying in an airplane Ed was piloting. Not sure how we lost contact with each other. This is a terrible loss. Your prayers are with us. ...

Dear Brouwers, I've only spoken to Ed a couple of times, but he seemed to be a great man, devoted to the Lord. We were sad to hear of your loss, but we are happy that he is in heaven now. My family thinks the world of you guys and we will be sorry to see you move back home.

Dear Marilyn and Lisa, Mark, Joey, Joshua -
Greetings from St. Joseph, MI. What a delight to know your precious family while you were in this area and attended the St. Joe CRC. We send our love and sympathy to you all in the loss of your husband and Dad. May the love, grace and promises of God comfort you now and in the days ahead. -- Dave & Linda Horjus and family

As the news of Ed's death settles into my heart, I find myself remembering the times our families spent together when we were kids--camping together at Sleeping Bear, hiking in the woods, and working on our Christmas tree farm. Ed was always cheerful and playful, a fun person to be with. We affectionately called Ed and his brothers "the rascals." As we grew into our college years and beyond, the cousins set off in a variety of different directions, and we saw very little of each other. But...

Dear Marilyn and family, Uncle Al, Aunt Amy, Cousins Ron and Jim and family members. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Ed was truly a great man and an inspriration to all who were blessed to know him. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Dear Marilyn, kids, Al and Amy, and family,
So sorry to hear of Ed's loss. We are flooded with great memories of the fun we had growing up. We will all miss him greatly, but rejoice that he is no longer suffering and in glory in the presence of our Saviour. We're praying for you!
Love,
Tom, Joan, Cody, Nate and Nick Konyndyk
