My sympathy to Fr. Ed's family. I've known Fr. Ed since I was a little kid at St. Mary Magdalene while he was the assistant. He was an inspiration to me. I have fond memories of the times we have seen each other over the years. Fr. Ed now enjoys the Face of the God he loved so faithfully for 89 years.

Father Edward was a resident and I am a resident of St. Benedicts Nursing and Rehabilitatio Center in Niles, Il. He often sat near nurses station with other residents. We usually shook hands. He had a distinguished career as a Catholic priest.
