I was stunned to learn of Peter's death just recently from a friend. Peter and I went to school together for for 14 years and rowed many a mile together. He was a gentle, wise, and witty man. He leaves the world a better place for his having passed through. I hope he is singing with the angels. I miss you my friend and wish you peace. Truman Bidwell

I was stunned to learn recently of Peter's death from a mutual friend. He was my friend and joyful companion in his early years (circa 1942 through the 1970s and we rowed many a mile over those years. A gentle and wise man has left us, and I shall miss him very much. Although we lived on different coasts, distance was only in the mind, not the heart. Good-bye old friend; I trust you are now singing with angels. God bless you and keep you. Truman Bidwell
