Please accept our sincere condolences and find strength in the knowledge of how many people Ed impacted during his lifetime. Not only was he a good husband, father, and friend, but also a hero to so many who reflected upon his accomplishments whenever they heard his name. We mourn his loss and celebrate his life.

Jean I met Big Ed Burton when he was employed with Grossman Department Store,in the Appliance and Furniture store, after The Muskegon Chronicle publish the article about the first black salesman in the area. I sought him out in order to introduce myself to him and found him to be a very receptive person.Our conversation was about qualifying one's self to seek employment as a commission salesman,from the advice I received that day, I know there are many that "BIG ED" inspired and we all are...
