The Butler family is in my thoughts and prayers. Mr. Murrell will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

My grandmother, Sarah Jones, was his housekeeper for many years. I always enjoyed my time "Down in The Bottom" at Mr. Murrell's log cabin. Whether I was watching the birds in their enormous cage or fishing in one of the pond. The Jones' send our deepest sympathy to The Butler family.

I am so sorry to hear that Murrell has passed away but am proud to be able to say that he was a friend. Murrell was always the perfect southern gentleman and a pleasure to be share time with. He will always be remembered as one of our generation's greatest wildlife artist, especially when it involved his paintings of waterfowl and other birds of our area. May God bless you Murrell
