Thank you for all your support over the years and your friendship that I will never forget. Fred Schmid

Bud was absolutely unforgettable. There were three Edward C. Roberts, but only one "Bud". He was such a big part of downtown Ann Arbor, that his contributions were part of what made Ann Arbor such a wonderful place to grow-up, in the 1960s and 1970s. Bud's daughter, Cynthia, and I were best friends from birth throughout elementary school. Bud was one of the fun and involved fathers. He frequently included me, along with his own three kids, on many family outings. He was always interested in...

When I met Bud, he grabbed my immediate attention when he said, "I knew your dad and mother (Dick and Grace) from being active members of the Jaycees (Ann Arbor Junior Chamber of Commerce." He transferred his level of creative enthusiasm from his business ownership on South University to retirement as an active Dexter Lion Club and Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor member. He was known as the Thrift Sale Packer - he had a second nature of packaging sold merchandise efficiently in bags and boxes. How...

What can I say about Bud! I first had the pleasure and honor of serving with him in the Chamber of Commerce, which led to the Dexter Daze committee for many years. He loved his community and did it well for many many years. I enjoyed Friday nights with many at Knights, lots of great laughs! Rest in Peace my friend you had a great ride.

My condolences, sue, Chris, Cindy and Randy. He was a great guy and always good to me. With loving thoughts and prayers.

Our business on Portage Lake cared and maintained Bud´s fleet of vehicles for many years. This started a friendship of which he attended our coffee hour on Saturdays for well over 30 years. He was a generous and kind soul whom we came to love as family. Rest easy Bud, we will surely miss you. Peace Bill and Patti King
