Edward Calvey - St. Pat's HS '66

Ed was a classmate to me at St. Patrick H.S. in Chicago, Illinois. We graduated together in 1966. I remember him well. It seemed we were always bumping into each other, literally, as we rushed to our next class, and it became a joke between us - we'd look for each other. He was always a good guy and often offered to help me get my assignments in on time as I was usually late with homework. This is his Senior Portrait photo from the 1966 yearbook. I know this posting comes late, but I...

Missing you always, Daddio. xoxo - cait

I met Ed at Holy Family job support seven years ao. He always had a smile and a story to tell at our group. I will miss him. My condolences to his family.

Ed was one of the true good guys of job networking. He was always there with advise or a lead. He looked out for people. When I traded in my ancient truck he told me he used to wait in the parking lot until I started my truck and pulled out. He touched a lot of lives and he will be missed.

I have Wonderful memories of growing up with Ed and my Calvey cousins.
Ed had a big heart, a great smile, and
was fun to be with.
I will miss you.

I've known Ed through the Holy Family Job Support group. Ed was always willing to help others and it was enjoyable to hear him give his job update stories.

Of course, he'd usually come in with a handbill in a buff color because he was so "buffed."

May he rest in peace. The job search is over. He just got promoted.

Paula,

I am the CPA who knows Steve Seidenberg from Porte Brown. I knew Ed from Holy Family and always enjoyed seeing him at the group. We were just talking about how we missed seeing him there lately. Ed always talked about his great family and I know how lucky he felt to have all of you in his life. We all felt lucky to have him as part of our group. I know I will carry his memory with me and I hope that his memory will be a great strength to you and your family forever.

I met Ed first time back in 2009 while we were in transition together at various group meetings. I fondly remember all our discussions on credit etc...and really came to know him well enough to say - class act - and he will be missed ! I hadn't seen Ed in the past few years but thought of him fondly now and then. Deepest condolences to his family who he talked about warmly and often.

I have known Ed through the St. Hubert and Holy Family Job Support Groups. When I started the St. Hubert Accountability Groups he was one of my first members and facilitators. He joined the Crystal Lake Group along with Rick Perry on my first enrollment campaign in 2009. Ed was an active attendee at my monthly group facilitator meetings offering suggestions and helping motivate individuals during a difficult time in their lives including his own. He will be missed. He was a great individual...
