Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City I would like to express our condolences on PC Campbell's death. While I did not have the opportunity to meet him, his service as a Commodore to the Club was sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely
Bonnie OBrien
Commodore

I met Ed in 1989 at a reunion of our 32nd Infantry Regiment Association and we became very good friends over the next 20 plus years. We were Korean War combat soldiers and had a band of brothers to meet at annual reunions. Our Scot heritage also bonded us. He was a good friend, great soldier and will be missed by all that knew him. Sincere sympathy to the family.

My sincere condolences to the family. I first met Edmany years ago when he was helping Elk township with their block grant program. I weas delighted to work with him againg in Pitman while he wore his hats as the zoning officer and as the driving force behind the grove housing rehabilitation. In my many years of public service I metnvery few people who had the combination of skill, expertise and deication that Ed devoted to his service. Moreover he did it with an enthusiasm that was...

I had Mr Campbell as a teacher in Wenonah in the late 1950's. He left a lasting impact on me, I consider him the best teacher I had. He was the first male teacher I had when it was still unusual in those times. He wasn't afraid to "motivate" you in the right direction, something I sorely needed at the time. My sincere condolences to his wife Georgia and children. Georgia as a young lady who lived behind me on Maple St used to babysit me when I was very young. I am better for having known both...

I am very sorry to hear the loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and to all the Campbell family.

we knew ed from his and our years in sea isle city, especially the yacht club.
he was wonderful company and a wonderful worker for our club. ernie
especially enjoyed the early morning
tennis matches. we're so glad we knew
him.

I too was in Mr. Campbell's first Wenonah class in 1957 and in various of his classes through 8th grade in 1961. He was unusual among elementary teachers of the 50's in that he was a male. Speaking for the 5th grade boys, I have to say that it was a revelation to have a teacher who liked sports as much as we did, and who actually got out there and played with us--even in his trademark starched white shirt, dress shoes, and perfectly knotted tie. And he even taught us how to play...

Ed was a special man. He fought hard for what he believed was right. He looked you in the eye and told you exactly what he thought. In the truest sense of the word Ed Campbell was clearly a man's man. Pitman has lost a leader, a fighter, and a guy who helped so many people. The highest praise I can ever give someone is to tell them I respect them. My respect for Ed Campbell simply could not be higher.

I was in his 5th grade class in Wenonah. He had such an influence on not only me but many others he encountered. I worked for him at the Wenonah Playground Assoc. and he was a mentor as well as teacher and friend. I cannot say enough about this hero. I talked to him at the 45th high school reunion and that was a blessing. May God bless Georgia and the family.
