Not sure what to say?

I often think of you and how much I owe you. I only wish I had been able to thank you face to face. Hopefully, you knew. A wonderful doctor, and from I've learned since I was your patient, you were a wonderful person. Rest easy Dr. Cantow.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Ed for years at Portsmouth General Hospital in the Laboratory. A great mentor and fine human being who often times put his own ailments aside in lieu of his patients' problems. Thank you Dr Cantow for your inspiration to a young lab tech. Frank Marsh, Chesapeake, VA

Rest in peace Dr. Cantow. I know God has a special place in heaven for you.

Dr. Cantow was my baby sister's oncologist. He was a wonderful man and a wonderful doctor. My sympathies go out to his family, friends and loved ones. I thank him every day for my sister.

Dr. Cantow was my oncologist at the age of eleven (1973-1978) through fifteen. He was, and is, my hero. Not only was he a great doctor but he was a good man. I tried so hard to find him but never was able to. Now I have and I hope to one day see him again, to hug him, to thank him. My sympathies go out to his family, friends and loved ones. Rest in peace Dr. Cantow.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

Growing up side by side with the Cantow family gave me another family to love and to learn from. While I am sad that "Eddie" and "Terri" have left us, I am a better person to have had the privilege of having them in my life for over 40 years. To the Cantow kids, I love you all and send my warmest sympathies.
