Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Carlin and family back in the early 70's when you taught at Hazard St. School your husband subbed as our gym teacher. Having the wrestling coach from SU was a big thing for a bunch of 11 year olds. And he was so nice to us as he spoke to us and always with a grin on his face. May all your memories put a grin on yours. Tony DeSpirito class of 77

Rest in peace Coach. Thank you for all you did for us and Syracuse University wrestling. Jim Werbeck 1974-78

My sincere condolences to Melissa and her family. May he Rest in Peace.

I was a sportscaster at Channel 5 in Syracuse and met Ed while doing a story on his fight to save the wrestling program. He was gracious with his time and passionate with his answers. All these years later I still remember being struck by how much he loved the program, the sport and his wrestlers. He left an underrated legacy at SU. My condolences for your loss.

I would like to share my condolences to the family. Ed was a very important influence in my life. He was my Freshman coach at Ithaca High School and my college coach at Syracuse. He drove me home almost every night after practice in Ithaca. I truly admired and respected this wonderful man.

Ed was a great man as well as a great coach. During my time at SU he treated all of his wrestlers like family. His patience and persistence with us was invaluable. He will be deeply missed by his former athletes as well as the wrestling community as a whole. My condolences to the Carlin family.

John and I want to express our condolences to the Carlin family and pay homage to a man who dedicated so much of his life to helping and nurturing others. He will truly be missed. May God hold him in the palm of his hand! Sincerely, Nancy Kinney Alsheimer
