Not sure what to say?

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Admiral Carter. I was with him aboard the USS Long Beach CG(N)9 in 1966 and 1967. He was the finest officer I ever knew. My condolences to the Admiral's family.

Admiral Carter was a great warrior and gentleman. More importantly, if you read about halfway down his obituary, you will see a reference to his ship, USS Towers, rescuing two Marine aviators who were shot down while running a spotting mission for the battleship USS New Jersey. I was one of those fliers. Fair winds and following seas, Admiral Carter!

"Sonny's Family, Ed's sister Gerry and I started to school together in 1932 in Asheville, NC and the last time I saw Sonny was at his Mother's Funeral. I remember him as a little red headed round cheeked youngster who finished high school 2 years after Gerry and me. I also remember his Father when he was at American Enka. We are never ready to lose our loved ones and the only comfort has to come from our Faith in the Sovereignty of God and the manifested concern of caring friends. We are...

Good morning Mrs. Williams,
My name is Cheryl and I work with your daughter, Betsy. She is a blessing to me and our students in too many ways to write. You and Mr. Williams truly raised a very "special" woman who has been inspirational to others--she is small, but has a lot of backbone!
Please accept my condolences in the passing of your husband, I read the obituatary and spoke with Betsy and realize that he was a very person. Even though he will be missed greatly, he is...

I'm sorry that Charlotte and I will not be in attendance at the memorial service, but our thoughts and prayers will be with Edward Carter III and all those who share in his legacy.

Though I will not be able to attend the memorial service Saturday, my thoughts and prayers will be with all in attendance. Grandpa was a great man, and some of my fondest memories growing up were spent visiting him and Grandma. My love goes out to Grandma, my uncles and aunts, my cousins, and all who knew and loved Edward Carter III

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I remember my dad telling me how much he admired and respected your father.I remember his smiles at the grandchildren's antics. Those are memories that ease the pain,as does our faith. God be with you all

Dear Friends,
As I read the narrative of your loved one's life, I realized how much of him the Ellefson family has seen in his daughter, Betsy, for the last 23 years. He was an amazing father who raised an amazing daughter.
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. We love you.
Deb, Roger, and Patrick Ellefson

Our thoughts are with you all - we hope you find comfort in being together during this difficult time.
