Condolences. Sympathy to the family.

I just heard the news, and wanted to add my condolences. Ed was very helpful in helping my knowledge & understanding of the old Ohio River & Western Railroad grow. Through my introduction to the OR&W, and exploration of its abandoned right-of-way, I gained a strong appreciation of narrow gauge railroads. As a result of this interest, I learned about track maintenance on the East Broad Top RR (also 3' gauge in Pennsylvania) and have recently been instrumental in the rebuilding of a 2.5 mile...

Ed was a good friend and a fine man. He was always willing to share his research with those of us that were interested. He will be missed.

I worked closely with Ed for several years at Vitec. Ed was a true professional and fun to work with. He could take a joke and give them out as well. My condolences to the family.

Forrest and I send our condolences. Peace and blessings to your entire family. What an accomplished and interesting man he was.
