Not sure what to say?

I took jazz piano and theory lessons from Ed, many years ago, when he lived in Longmeadow. I still have the piano piece I composed while studying with him. It's entitled "My Frustration." I learned a lot from Ed. He and my father, Ronnie Drumm, both professional musicians, crossed paths a lot in their careers. My dad passed away last July. Maybe they'll form a great band in heaven :-) Wishing you comfort and peace.

PS. Thanks to Ed's musical training, I received a music degree in 1973, toured New England for 10 years full time as a musician after that, taught music in public schools and am still playing piano many decades later. I doubt any of that would have happened without Ed's training & guidance. .

Ed was a wonderful piano teacher to me, as well as a long time friend. I knew him when he lived in Longmeadow, and kept in touch after he moved to Florida. I often went to clubs to hear Ed perform. He was always very pleasant and interesting. My condolences to his family.

Ed was also a fantastic piano teacher and taught me the techniques I still use today, over 40 years later. I´m so glad that my wife and I were able to visit with Ed and Eva in Key Largo over the past several years. He was one of a kind. Color the afterlife with 7ths, Ed. Howard and Tracy

Meri and I followed Ed when he played at many local venues. He was always a gentleman. When Meri and I decided to get married he agreed to play for us with his bass player Chuck Andress, although they didn't normally do weddings! That was at the Whale Inn in Goshen Mass in 1980. Please accept our condolences for this remarkable man and musician.
