Edward F. Cesanek, 84, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023, in Easton Nursing and Rehabilitation, Palmer Twp. Born on December 18, 1938, in Northampton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Susanna (Kacsur) Cesanek. Edward and his wife, Carol (Becker), celebrated 59 years of marriage together. He was employed as a pipe fitter at Western Electric for over 30 years. In addition, Edward was a farmer on his family’s farm for most of his life. He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army. Edward was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Northampton. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes.


In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by sons, Dr. Joseph and wife, Brenda, Christopher and wife, Shirley; daughter, Jennifer and husband, Daniel Ziegler; grandchildren, Kelsie, Andrew, Katie, Amelia, Emma, Danielle, and Justin; several great-grandchildren; brother, Andrew and wife, Nancy; and many nieces and nephews. Sisters, Dorothy, Dolores, and Irene preceded Edward in death. 


Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 2nd at 10:00 a.m. in the church, 22nd & Washington Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 8:45 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. 


Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church or a charity of one’s choice in loving memory of Edward. Online condolences may be offered below.
