I think of Ted often. He worked with me at the Museum during the reign of Jane Kloecker. We also lost Jane in May of this year. I often think of the two of them when running the program now. What they would say/think? Ted was an intelligent and knowledgeable man and he never put out anything that made you feel less so. He always acknowledged your thoughts about a subject in a way that seemed genuine. He was kind, considerate and very funny. He started as a colleague and ended more of a...

Ted and I were classmates at Yale -- first meeting one another in our freshman year when we 'roomed' right across the hall from one another. And for the balance of our Yale years we were also members of the same Yale residential college. He was a very kind and gentle soul -- with a lovely sense of humor (when we last spoke I even reminded him of some of his jokes from 1948-49. We stayed in intermittent touch with one another, and I had a nice phone visit with him last year, urging him...

Ted is a great loss to the Science and Nature Program. Such a lovely, caring and intelligent man. He is missed.
